Last year, Korea exceeded $ 600 billion in exports and achieved $ 1 trillion in trade, demonstrating the strength of our trade at home and abroad. However, the outlook for the global trade environment is not very bright this year. Recently, many difficulties are expected in the field of international trade due to the prolonged trade disputes and the deepening of global competition in flagship products.
In addition, competition between nations and companies, which is intensifying in the Fourth Industrial Revolution era, in which artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IOT), and big data, etc., are converged into existing industries, There are also voices of concern about the impact.
It is the responsibility of our society to grasp these changes in the internal and external international trade environment and to present the correct policy direction of the electronic trade in the fourth industrial revolution. The Korea Institute of Trade and Information Science was founded in 1998 with the aim of establishing a harmonized system of theory and practice, focusing on trade law system, trade negotiation, regional trade, commodity service, and electronic trade.
Our society has grown for 21 years and is now a wonderful young man. The Korea Research Foundation's cited index of 1.11 in the last five years is the number one in the field of trade and the centrality index (3 years) is also 1.584.
It was ranked No. 1 and has grown to become a leading journal in trade science.
